Kootenay Haven is a 10-bed
facility operated by CMHA for the Kootenays that provides transitional
housing to women and their children fleeing domestic violence. Support
services funding is provided through the Ministry of Community, Aboriginal,
and Women’s Services.
We offer:
- safe, free, temporary
accommodation
- non-judgemental support
- lay counselling for
resident and non-resident clients
- outreach support, court
accompliment, advocacy
- group support for children
